In order to be proactive regarding fraudulent sales, we use the company, NoFraud, to scan each and every order that comes into our website. We do this to protect both Platinum Skin Care and it's customers. If your order goes through, and then is immediately refunded/cancelled then there is an issue that will need to be resolved.
Is this something NEW for Platinum Skin Care?
Nope. We have used NoFraud for a few years now. If you have not been contacted by them, or had a situation with an instantaneous refund ... then your online shopping habits/information haven't been an issue. You have just Passed! Good for you.
How can I contact NoFraud?
NoFraud does have a number to reach an analyst. While we cannot guarantee that they will be available at the hours/time zone you are calling, here is the number to speak with someone regarding your order being held/refunded. They can help you to become "whitelisted" on our website for further shopping privileges.
How does NoFraud identify a fraudulent transaction?
NoFraud’s multi-layered solution analyzes thousands of data points fusing machine learning with human intelligence to provide the most precise results. They utilize historical, behavioral and order data in real time to derive a simple actionable result: Pass or Fail*.
*If your order has failed, this is when you are instantly refunded/cancelled. At this point you are added to a "blacklist" with NoFraud. No further order attempts will go through until you are "whitelisted" manually by them. We will not override their decision.
How long does it take for NoFraud to scan a transaction?
NoFraud consolidates all relevant and available information about a transaction and returns a “Pass/Fail” answer in milliseconds, even for complex orders. A small percentage (less than 0.5%) of orders are held for review and scrutinized by a NoFraud analyst.
*If your refund/cancellation happens after business hours, you can reach out to us and we will create a Case with NoFraud to get your information looked at again.
How does the cardholder Verification/Review process work?
For a limited number of select, high-risk orders in which NoFraud is able to validate the transaction, a NoFraud analyst will perform “Cardholder Verification.” This is a process whereby they reach out to the cardholder to confirm the order’s legitimacy*. Modeled after bank transaction verification protocol, our process is designed to be as friction-free as possible.
*If NoFraud reaches out to you via email (email@example.com or any email ending in @nofraud.com) they are going to need to verify it is you. They have many ways of doing this. Please understand that this is meant to protect you. The last thing we want is someone else using your ID or Cards on our website. :)
