We are always listening to feedback from our customers to make our products not only the most effective, but to give you more of what YOU are wanting in a product. Many times that might be adding new ingredients, changing the texture, adjusting misc things .....
Back in 2022 our Fade Bright had more alcohol in it. This is specifically to aid in penetration with the alpha arbutin. We had complaints that it was too drying ... so over the next few batches we lowered it slightly to get it where we needed it. In this past batch (8-2023) - we also addressed that by adding in the squalane. This aids in penetration with the oil-portion of the skin's cells and hydrates the skin. We also transformed it to a water base (still alcohol in there for the Alpha Arbutin) ... and emulsified the squalane with the water.
Another ingredient we have wanted to add - due to high customer demand, was the glutathione. That is in there now. And the main addition of the 3 new ingredients was Granactive Retinoid. This is the Ester of Tretinoin. It has an immediate uptake into the skin - and is in a DMI base that pushes ALL of the powerful ingredients deep into the skin where the deeper pigmentation issues lie.
Due to the retinoids having to stay Out of the light, we have also moved this into a white bottle - instead of a clear one. It will naturally be yellow due to the granactive retinoid. We know that you will love this new update and how much more powerful it has become. Enjoy!
*Pregnancy warning for retinoid usage: The Oral retinoid, Accutane can cause birth defects. As of "current knowledge" it is considered best practice to avoid any topical retinoids as well during pregnancy. Some doctors are challenging this and may consider OTC ok. Always check with your practioner to determine what is best for you. We suggest considering Essentials FX with bakuchiol as an alternative during pregnancy.
Best, Jen
