Our mask just launched (9-2024) - but that does not mean that the manufacture is brand new to masks. They have been creating devices since 2012. They have specialized in LED for many years now.
How can you guarantee that the masks are a good quality?
The masks are 3rd party tested (on site) to make sure they function as they should. This means that WE, Platinum Skin Care, sent a 3rd party to the manufacturer's site. They opened and tested the packages to confirm the statistics that we needed.
How can you guarantee that the wavelengths are correct?
Wavelengths are tested using specialized sensors that read the colors and state what nm is being produced. If they are not producing the proper wavelengths, they would FAIL. Packaging, quality of print, quality of mask, bending, controllers, charging, rough usage... many things are tested and it takes many hours.
How long will the mask last?
This is two-fold. As bulbs and batteries work together to create a finished product.
- LED bulbs have a lifetime of at least 50,000 hours. The light quality will never change. A single bulb may die ... but, that would not stop the rest of the mask from working. :)
- Lithium batteries can last around 300 to 500 charge cycles or 2 to 3 years, whichever comes first. There is no need to charge the mask after every use! You can use it at least a few times (at 30 minutes) or several times at 10 or 20 minutes.
Does this come with a warranty?
This comes with a 1 year warranty stating the mask is free from defects. It does not cover accidents, misuse, abuse, alternation/tampering, use with unauthorized accessories, or connection to incorrect current and voltage.
Does the mask get hot?
LED masks can get a bit warm .. but they should not get hot. We have a very high irradiance (power of bulbs) and on high ... for 30 minutes, it can be warm. But only warm. I have not felt uncomfortable in any way with the mask on for 30 minutes.
