Most of us end up with some spotting on our body after years of sun exposure. This is pretty common and can be very light in some - but in others there can be more pigmentation spots than normal skin tone. With either we can still treat and lighten.
Keep in mind we are NOT going to get rid of every single spot. This just isn't likely at all. We can improve the allover look of the spotting though and make them fade back.
How do we do that:
- Use an acid body wash every single day. Our Glycolic & Lactic Body Wash has 15% acid and this will help to turn over the skin's cells more quickly. Out with the old and in with the new.
- Use a melanin inhibitor every single day. Our Fade Bright Lightening serum even comes in a larger 4.5oz. size so that you can treat the body as well as the face. Apply a thin layer to clean skin and then apply your moisturizer AND SPF 50 if your skin will be in the sun.
- Use an acid body lotion every day. Triple Treat 25% Body Lotion will really help to speed the turnover of skin on your body. Couple this with the body wash and the Fade Bright and you will have your skin turning over and spots fading in a few weeks.
- Try a chemical peel *after you have prepped your skin with the above suggestions. Some great options would be: Jessners, TCA 20, TCA 30 (very white skin only) or Glycolic 70. As always if your skin is thinner or more sensitive go down in the percentages we are recommending here. *Body peels will take 30 days to get a full turnover. So NO judging on a few days after. 10-14 days is a normal time frame for the skin to START the flaking process. Then it will go on for another 14 days.
