Xanthelasma is treated by removing the deposit with:
- extreme cold or freezing surgery (called cryotherapy)
- laser surgery.
- traditional surgery to remove and repair the skin.
- extreme heat surgery (electric needle)
- chemical peels.
We suggest the TCA 7% peel to help with removing these deposits. An average of 3 (dryer) layers is OK for a monthly eye peel. If you are going to be targeting the deposits only, then the 13% could be a better option.
Always use extreme caution when using acids near the eye area.
Watch our TCA Eye Peel Video prior to applying any acids on the eye area for safety.
Use a precise tool such as our cotton tipped wooden picks or a Q-tip.
